Chiara Faggella, Ph.D., is a visiting fellow at the European University Institute of Fiesole, Italy. She completed her doctoral education at the former Centre for Fashion Studies, Department of Media Studies. Her doctoral dissertation, "Not So Simple": Reassessing 1951, G.B. Giorgini and the launch of Italian fashion deals with the the promotion of Italian couture and fashion merchandise for export after the Second World War and the involvement of trade commissionaire Giovanni Battista Giorgini (1898-1971). Chiara holds an MA in Fashion Studies from Stockholm University and graduated summa cum laude from Università degli Studi di Pisa with a BA in Communication Studies. Before entering the PhD programme at the Centre for Fashion Studies, Chiara worked as a digital marketing consultant in Italy for three years.
